Throughout the year...
Live music is at the very core of what we do here at Fuel. As such, we host concerts all through-out the week, not only on weekends. There’s so much fantastic talent here in Wales alone, but we book touring bands from across the UK and the rest of the world.
The Grass-roots
Fuel didn’t start out as a live music venue. It all started with a local DJ, Rob Toogood, who felt that there weren’t enough good rock and metal nights in happening in Cardiff.
Fuel began as a club night on September 9, 2006, when a local DJ & rock fan realised that there weren’t enough places that played the music both he and so many others loved. After out-growing its first venue and then surviving the closure of it’s second venue, Fuel moved to its present full-time home on Womanby Street, in the heart of Cardiff’s music quarter.
Fuel didn’t start out as a live music venue. It all started with a local DJ, Rob Toogood, who felt that there weren’t enough places putting on good rock and metal nights in Cardiff.
